I love travelling, no matter going to new places or places that I’ve been before. This was the third time I took part in Student Ambassador’s Cultural Trip, and yet, it still fascinated me very much. Student Ambassadors organize a Cultural Trip for foreign friends every semester. It is known as one of the most interesting activities arranged by us. During a Cultural Trip, we invite foreign students to a particular place in Taiwan so that we can give them an in-depth-tour of Taiwan and introduce Taiwanese culture to foreign students. Foreign students also have the chance to experience the “Beauty of Taiwan” by seeing the beautiful scenery themselves.
I had the privilege of being the main organizer of the Cultural Trip this semester. Our team basically organized the whole Cultural Trip, including planning the routes and promoting the activity…etc. Through this experience, I’ve learnt a lot, including trip organizing and taking care of everyone.
This semester’s Cultural Trip was in Taichung, and we got to visit some very unique places in Taichung. During the first day, we went to the 921 Earthquake Museum of Taiwan, Wufong Lin Family Mansion and Garden, and Feng Jia Night Market. On the second day, we went to Gaomei Wetland Wildlife Refuge, Dajia Jenn Lann Mazu Temple and Dongfong Bike Trail. Through this Cultural Trip, we aimed to introduce Taiwanese history and exclusive landscapes in Taichung to our foreign friends.
