How can an exchange student know Taiwan? Many ways, I could tell. However, a very easy but special way to do this is to go on a trip with your Taiwanese friends. Every semester, Student Ambassador of National Central University (NCUSA) holds an activity called Cultural Trip. In the trip, they will show you the fascinating Taiwanese culture and the beautiful nature of our lovely Formosa. Many exchange students choose this path to know more about Taiwan and its people. Follow Student Ambassador’s steps, they have been traveled to many countries and mountains, from north to south and even Hualien in eastern Taiwan. This semester on October 21 and 22 they went south to Chiayi, looking for a unique cultural experience and breathtaking scenery.
Every destination in the trip is carefully selected. Must-see and representative spots are included, such as Ali Mountain and Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum. The beautiful sceneries and architectures are always liked by the participants. At night, going to the night market is a tradition of Cultural Trip. The night market is an important and unique food culture of Taiwan that is highly requested by the participants. Besides that, some culturally rich spots were not missing. Singang Incense Artistic Cultural Garden and Singang Matsu Temple are rich in Chinese culture.
