CALL FOR PAPERS:

International Graduate Student Conference on Literary and Culture Studies at National Chiao Tung University

Taiwan Graduate students are invited to submit papers for the International Graduate Student Conference on Literary and Culture Studies. This one-day conference provides a forum for students from institutions around the world to meet and share ideas with their peers. Applications from graduate students engaged in research on all fields in literary and culture studies are welcome.

 PARTICIPATION:

Participants can take part in the conference as presenters and/or discussants. Presenters deliver 20-minute (maximum) talks that summarize research in progress. Discussants introduce the panelists and facilitate the 20-minute discussion session following the presentations. Official language is English.

APPLICATIONS (due April 16, 2008):

 E-mail the conference mailbox (igc@film.selfip.net) with the following information:

 *Your full name as you would like it to appear in the abstract booklet and conference schedule 

  *Contact information telephone, e-mail, and mailing address

  *Institution

  *Major area of study

*Title of your paper
*One-page (250 words max) abstract in MS Word (.doc) or Open Document format (.odt), including your name and institution. NOTE: we will not accept    applications without abstracts.
*Any audiovisual equipment you will need for your presentation.


 DEADLINES:

Notification of acceptance: within 10 days after application deadline.
Final Papers (5-7 pages maximum) due: May 24, 2008
